Senior Backend Engineer

Build and scale the core NDC adapter layer in Go. You will own service reliability, design internal APIs, and work closely with airline integrations. 4+ years of backend experience required.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain high-throughput Go microservices that interface with 20+ airline NDC APIs.
- Own service reliability — on-call rotations, incident response, and post-mortems.
- Build and iterate on internal tooling for adapter health monitoring and circuit breakers.
- Collaborate closely with the Partnerships team to onboard new airline integrations.
- Define and enforce engineering standards around testing, observability, and deployment.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of backend engineering experience, primarily in Go.
- Production experience with distributed systems and REST/gRPC API design.
- Comfortable with PostgreSQL, Redis, and message queues (NATS / RabbitMQ).
- Strong opinion on code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Experience with containerised deployments (Docker / Kubernetes) is a plus.
Nice to have
- Prior experience with airline or travel industry APIs (NDC, GDS, IATA standards).
- Familiarity with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or similar observability tooling.
